The Rhine, Germany’s longest river, is extravagant in both length and its mystique. Our journey down the Rhine also includes visits to storybook villages, romantic hilltop castles built by tyrannical kings, and areas where hunter-gatherers settled 200,000 years before the Romans brought vineyard culture to the Rhine. We will have seven extraordinary days sailing from Basel to Cologne aboard Uniworld's state-of-the-art S.S. Antoinette. Sailing from Basel we will include Colmar,Strasbourg, Speyer, Rudesheim, Koblenz, and Cologne. From Cologne, we continue via high-speed rail to the iconic city of Berlin and spend three nights at the Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome, our home in Berlin as we immerse ourselves in the art, music, and history of this iconic city.
